Is it time to change the rules? This site was set up in protest of the fact that many people are using Multiply and other such sites to share illegal, copyrighted material. I intend to do what I can to change that!

It seemed like it was going to be such a simple morning.  I’d put the kids on the bus, gone for a brisk walk in the woods near our home with a friend and returned home to check e-mail quickly before starting my day. It the kind of e-... more

I have designed cross stitch patterns, and it takes time... time to come up with the idea. Time away from other things like family, time to find mistakes, time to contact a publisher, time to negotiate, time, time, time.

I agree with handy99. Nothing is free in life, not even time.

Do I have to share a car (and all the costs that go with it), just because I have one and you don't?... no. That's what GOALS are for... you work toward something you want... that's what makes it so special when you finally do get it.

Just because we exist does not mean we deserve to have everything we want, when we want it. Today's society in general, is very spoiled.

No copy... buy your own!

wow rolandsbabe. Before you start spouting such crap maybe you should think about the facts (the true ones)

Designers have nothing to do with the sale of cross stitch supplies. They look after DESIGNING. How would stitcher's stitch if they had no patterns to follow?

It COSTS designers money to create patterns - do you think that ink and paper and internet and charting softwear and time spent are all free? would you do your job for no pay - but just for the warm fuzzy feeling you get from it?

I doubt it. As a matter of fact - you'd probably be one of the first people to raise a stink about it. I'm rolling my eyes at you because your statements are so stupid.

rules for cross-stitching patterns?
man, what will be next
pattern sharing cuts your sales?
what's up with that?
we still got to buy the floss and material, and frame it, and border it...it comes down to the all-might dollar huh?
something like this is sure to cut down the sales for sure if you stop the stitchers from sharing, cause we won't have to buy as many supplies for our projects!
Hmmmmmmmm....did you think of that?
My mother always taught me to share....said it was good morals, and a very good trait to have, and I was always told...if you share, it gives you a big heart!
Now what does that tell you?
